| 美国买家的种类与采购模式
很多中国的供应商只知道做外单，但是总分不清楚，客人的种类与采购模式，雾里看花，难以摸透，在此提供我个人的经验，供有意经营美国市场的供应商了解。
百货公司买主（department store buyer) 很多美国百货公司他们会自己采购各类产品，不同品种由不同采购部门负责。比较大的连锁百货如macy's ,JCPenny,等等，几乎有自己的采购公司在各生产市场。一般工厂很难打入，他们往往透过大贸易商来选择他们的供应商，自成一个采购系统。采购量大，价格要求稳定，每年购买产品变化不会太大，品质要求很高。不大容易变换供应商。大部分都看美国本地的展，不会亲自到中国看展。 连锁大型超商卖场（MART) 如沃尔马（WALMART,KMART..)等等，采购量大，也有自己的采购公司（BUYING OFFICE)在生产市场，有自己的采购系统，他们的采购对市场价格的敏感度很高，产品变化要求也很大，工厂价压得很低，但量很大。开发力强，价格便宜，资金雄厚的工厂可以进攻这类型的客户。小厂***保持距离，否则他一张订单的周转资金就让你吃不消，万一品质无法达到验货标准，就难以翻身了。 品牌进口商（importer) 大部分是品牌自己进货如（Nike,Samsonite)等等，他们会找有规模，品质好的工厂直接以OEM方式下单，他们的利润较好，品质要求有自己的标准，订单稳定，跟工厂建立很长久的合作关系。目前世界上有越来越多的进口商到中国的展销会来找厂商，这是值得中小型工厂努力开发的客人。进口商在其国内的生意规模是他们采购数量及付款条件的参考因素，在做生意前。可以透过他们的网站去了解他们的实力。即使是小品牌，也有机会培养成大客户。 批发商（wholesaler) 批发的进口商，他们通常采购特定的产品，在美国国内有自己的发货仓库（WAREHOUSE)，透过展览销售他们的产品，量大；价钱，产品的独特性是他们注意的***。这类客人很容易比价钱，因为他们的竞争对手都同是在展览商卖货的，所以价格及产品的差异性要很高，如果相同的产品，那么常会因为别人价钱较低而跑单。主要的采购方式是自己到中国看展采购。很多华人资金较雄厚的，就在美国做批发生意，成为批发商，回中国采购。 贸易商（Trader) 这部分的客人，什么产品都可能会买，因为他们有各种不同的客人，采购不同的产品，但订单的延续性比较不稳定。订单量也较不稳定。小厂比较容易做到。 零售商（retailer) 几年前，美国零售商几乎都在美国本土采购，但商业进入网路化以后，越来越多的零售商自己透过网路询价采购，这类客人其实是很难培养大的，所以比较适合国内批发商来做，工厂只是浪费时间报价，没有潜力。
