6- Electric Screen: 

a) A layer of aluminum approximately 0.2 mm thick shall be used as an electric screen and moisture barrier. 

b) The aluminum shall be applied longitudinally over the wrapped cable core with an overlap. 

c) The electronic screen shall consist of a plain and one sided polyethylene coated aluminum tape. The polyethylene's coasting shall be on the outer side of the core. 

7- Armoring: galvanized steel tapes of 0.3 mm gauge. A thin sheath of PVC shall also provide over the tape. 

8- Overall Sheath: Galvanized steel tapes of 0.3 mm gauge. A thin sheath of PVC shall also be provided over the tape. 

9- Capacitance between pair: PVC (f Rodent and termite repellent suitable for saline soil. 

10- D j -electric strength test: 3000 V. dc for 2 seconds. 

11- Resistance per KM: 62.8 OHMS +_ OHM/km at 2O 0C 

12: Insulation resistance: Minimum 10,000 Meg ohms per kilometer with 500 V DC Meager. 

13- Complete jointing material to be quoted fir tge length and 10% spare as specified in the Tender. 

14- Pair/quad Identification: color codes 

15- The jelly shall fulfill the following requirements:- 
15.2: Visible condemnations or water is not allowed. When stores up to 50 C no oily substance shall separate from jelly. 
15.3: It must be easy to wipe off the jelly from the insulated conductors. The removal of jelly shall not impair the marking of the pairs. 
15.4 There should be no deterioration of PVC insulation or conductor or sheath because of jelly. 
15.5 Viscosity = 10 o Pa 100 o C 
15.6 Drop point. = 70 C 
15.7 Cone pert ration= 30/10mm, at 25 C 
15.8 Flash point = 230 C 
15.9 Dielectric constant= 2 .3 at 20 C 
15.10 Volume resistively = 10 ohm cm at 100 C 

16. Delivery requirements: 

16.1 The cable shall comply with the test requirements of the manufacturing specification after installation by recognized methods. It shall be capable of being bent through 90 o at a radius of seven times its own diameter over the P.V.C. sheath without giving rise to departure from the test requirements of the manufacturing specification. 

:16.2 A tape on which shall be printed the name of the manufacturer and the year of manufacturer at 100 mm intervals shall be placed under the PVCsheath. 

16.3: The cable shall be delivered in lengths if 1000 meters, 
16:4 The cable shall be supplied carefully and closely wound on strong legged drums of adequate size. 
16.5. (a) The drum shall be distinctly marked with :- 
(i) The name of the supplier. 
(ii) the number of the drum. 
(iii) An arrow denoting the direction of the rolling. 

(b) Drum shall carry on water proof label with the following information:- 
(i) Designation of cable. 
(ii) Designation of sheath and sheath protection. 
(iii) Length of cable. 

16.6 (c) At the length of each meter words ¡°Pakistan railways" be printed and or embossed. 

Quantity: We require 25,000 meters of above described cable. This current we more orders in hand for which we require a good supplier.
