We have seen your advertisement in the latest issue of “China's Foreign Trade” and are interested in different kinds of wood screws and fittings.
It may interest you to know that our annual requirements for such articles are considerable. Enclosed is our inquiry form. We shall appreciate it if you will quote us your prices CFR Lagos for the items listed. In the meantime, please state your terms of payment, time of delivery and discounts for regular purchases.
If you have any catalogues with detailed specifications, please send us a copy for our reference.

Letter 2 (Outgoing)

Gentlemen:
Thank you for your letter dated September 5, 1986 inquiring for our wood screws and fittings. As requested, we are glad to enclose a quotation sheet for the items listed in your inquiry form. The prices are based on CFR Lagos, less a 2% discount. Shipment can be effected within 45 days after receipt of the relevant L/C , which is to be opened in our favour upon conclusion of business.
Our usual terms of payment are by L/C payable at sight against presentation of shipping documents.
Probably you are aware that our wood screws and fittings have been sold to your neighbouring regions over the past two years. Favourably impressed with the fine quality of our products and their reasonable prices many customers have kept placing orders with us. We trust you will have no difficulty in marketing our products at your end.
Under separate cover, we are airmailing you, by request, a copy of our catalogue together with some samples. We believe that these will give you some more idea of our supplies. You may rest assured that any orders from you will receive our prompt attention.
