5.5.9 Claim number registered in JCB. 6. INFORMATION 6.1 It is JCB’s policy that the total service and parts function shall be provided by the worldwide network of JCB dealers and subsidiary co***nies. 6.2 The Supplier shall not without first obtaining JCB’s consent in writing supply Components to any JCB dealer. For the purpose of this clause a JCB dealer shall mean any distributor/dealer authorised by JCB or any of JCB’s subsidiary co***nies to distribute, service and repair JCB machines and spare parts. 6.3 The Supplier shall advise JCB of the names and addresses of any UK or Export associated co***nies, branches and dealers. 6.4 Following the agreement to supply Components to JCB, the following information must be issued by the Supplier on request: 6.4.1 Illustrated service parts lists; 6.4.2 Recommended parts stocking lists; 6.4.3 Advice of any design changes to Components and/or assemblies, whether interchangeable or not, and the serial number at which the change comes into effect; and 6.4.4 Service instructions i.e. operation instructions, routine maintenance, repair and overhaul instructions, fault finding information etc. 7. POLICY CONCESSIONS 7.1 The Supplier will be expected to contribute in full or in part for costs incurred by JCB for policy concessions and epidemic failures including field modification programmes outside the warranty period. 8. FIELD SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS (RECALL CA***IGNS) 8.1 If a repetitive defect or attributable batch quantity, or an otherwise significant problem in the Components or any range becomes apparent to either party after incorporation into JCB machines, the parties shall immediately carry out a joint investigation to determine the cause of the defect, to evaluate any safety issues and to establish the remedial action required, if any.
