2.1.4. Mileage – The mileage rate per mile/kilometre between JCB and its dealer multiplied by the distance travelled up to a predetermined maximum radius, or a fixed call out charge which ever is applicable. 2.1.5. Net values – The purchase by JCB dealers of specialist products and/or services required to conduct warranty repair. 2.2 Labour Only Claims For the avoidance of doubt, where repairs/adjustments involve labour only, the Supplier shall reimburse such labour and mileage costs as detailed above. 3. WARRANTY PERIOD 3.1. Original Equipment – A minimum of 18 months from the date of the retail of the machine to the end customer as reported by the JCB dealer or 3,000 hours, whichever occurs first. 3.2. Parts – A minimum of 18 months from the date of retail of the part to the end customer or 3,000 hours whichever occurs first. 3.3 Attachments – A minimum of 18 months from the date of retail of the attachment to the end customer or 3,000 hours whichever occurs first. 4. WARRANTY PROCEDURE 4.1 All warranty claims will be raised upon the Supplier by JCB. Warranty claims will be prepared as required when they arise. Only JCB warranty claim forms are to be used. 4.2 The Supplier shall perform warranty judgement and shall record its decision and its appropriate comments regarding the acceptance of liability for each of the Components, as follows: Category 1 – Fault found and is the Supplier’s liability Category 2 – Fault found but is not the Supplier’s liability Category 3 – No fault found 4.3 The Supplier shall inform JCB of the warranty judgement within 28 days of a warranty claim being raised. Rejected Category 2 or 3 Components must be returned to JCB Group Warranty, Waterloo Park within 42 days from date of claim being raised. 4.4 Failure to comply with the procedure in clause 4.3 will result in JCB treating the warranty claim as 100% accepted by the Supplier, unless a prior request for an extension by the Supplier has been received and agreed by JCB. Debit notes will be raised by JCB for warranty claims in respect of which the Supplier fails to respond in accordance with clause 4.3.
