We thanks the receipt of your mail sent to us about our order and the payment. Sir, till this moment you are still afraid to trade with us under 100% D/P at sight, we actually believe that you are in doubting of mind and fearing, although, it is suppose to be simply because we have nevewr had any business together before. For your understanding, any goods that shipped to Nigeria ports, there is a stipulated period for the importer to make the clearing of the goods out of the government warehouse (sea port). For an example, if you effect shipment of goods to us and the goods arrive to the Nigeria port, while the shipping documents is within the bank, first thing is that, our bank will called our attention for the settlement of your Bills and once we have make the settlement, the shipping documents will be released to us to enable us arrange for the clearing of the goods in our port. Furthermore, the Nigeria Customs office do not permit the importers than two (2) weeks latest for the clearing of the goods because the government do not want any congestion in our port. If the importer do not comply with the stipulated time given to such a company then, they will get such a company heavy penalty (fine) and they will still give such an importer only three (3 days) for the clearing of the goods and if the importer failed to do so, means the importer will be banned from foreign business transaction and they will seize the license finally. As regards this, this is why we explained in our last mail that, as soon as the shipping documents arrived our bank, they will called our attention for immediate settlement of your Bills and once we have done so, the documents will be released to us for immediate clearing of the goods, please be rest assured of that. Again, we want you to understand that, some importers are just arrange for booking order without proper investigation, and even some importers do not know the meaning of D/P, but they are just demanding for it, and when the supplier agreed to trade with them on D/P payment and effect shipment of goods to them, when the goods arrive the port, it will be hardly for them to make settlement of their supplier's Bills which is not proper and this is why the present government of Nigeria do not permit many importers demanding for 100% D/P terms approved their Form'M' application when submitted, because the government have set up a committee of enquiry who will first investigate the company before anything could be done. If the company found uncapable, they will turn-down their request and before we asked you to accept our payment by 100% D/P at sight, all this investigations has been conducted on our company and we have been given pass mark. Dear Guan Da, come back to the payment terms, we want you to understand that a reliable company must always do something reliable, likewise, they will never lay hand on anything that can tarnish their good image both locally and in the International community. Therefore, we once again tell you that, if we don't intend to do the business with you, there is no need to be worried nor wasting our time in communicating you. In this regards, we are not among those companies with whom after shipment of the goods will fail to make settlement of the supplier's Bills or, fail to get clearing of the goods in the port. We are not praying for such to fall on our company and we do not pray any loss to any of our suppliers, because if your product does'nt fall into the scope of our dealings, there is no need of demamding.
