National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China (NHFPC) published GB 2707-2016 National Food Safety Standard Hygienic standard for fresh (frozen) meat of livestock and other 126 national food safety standards on 23 December 2016. The publication includes 14 food standards, 19 hygienic specifications for food production/processing/operation, 13 food nutrient enhancers and 81 test methods for food indicators. The above food standards and test methods come into operation on 23 June 2017 and the hygienic specifications start to apply on 23 December 2017.
