| 诚实信用原则系为民法吸收道德观念的结果。在道德伦理上，诚实信用是一项古老的行为准则和做人标准，故而有所谓“言必信，信必果”的千古一律的行为准则，更有所谓“仁、义、礼、智、信“的贤人标准。随着商品经济发展对市民社会人际关系提出的内在的必然要求，诚实信用道德观念也也被赋予了与市场经济和市民社会要求相适应的新内容。

| 呵呵，我翻译了前面两句，到了“言必信，信必果“我就不知道该怎么翻了！
所以想看看大家有什么看法，学习一下！

| the principle of honesty and credit is produced by civil law's absorption of moral conception, moral ethically, honesty and credit principle is an old criterion of behavior, hence comes the uniform behavior standard what we called "One must stand by one's words and must not stop one's action until success is achieved", even the wisdom standard of "humanity, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, credibility". With the consequentially requirements to the interpersonal relation of citizen society reqested by development of commodity economy, the moral conception of honesty and credit was endowed with new contents in step with the requirements of market economy and citizen society.
